Dealing with Anxiety

Anxiety is not such a bad thing. When you’re dealing with a nervous situation, you’ll need the energy that anxiety causes to rise above it. resolve it, or stand up to it.

Sometimes anxiety can grow into an disorder, such as, having an unreasonable fear to the point of your being immobilized. Or you may become anxious about everyday things so you avoid them. Many people have conquered their anxiety through relaxation, exercising, and changing their diet. Reinvent for yourself a whole new life style.

Social phobia is a common anxiety disorder which affects 5.3 million people. A social anxiety is a fear, apprehension, or worry interacting with people.  This disorder begins in shyness in childhood which goes unnoticed until adolescence. Adults vary in how often they experience this social phobia.

More women than men suffer from PTSD - post traumatic stress disorder. An equal number men and women are affected by obsessive compulsive disorder. Dr. Jonathan Grayson’s patients deal with these disorders by facing your greatest fears head on. The exercises include group hugs or touching a dirty floor and putting your fingers in your mouth. Soon you realize that what was bothering you before is gone!

Ann Perry

You’ll know when you’ve found a good novel when your heart thumps during the story. The very first sentence will lure you to read more. Ann Perry is one of those talented writers who can make your visualize a story like never before.

Her genre is fiction, specifically, historical, detective fiction. Her novels deal with murder. The description of the death is so real that it’ll give the reader goose bumps. Does talent come from experience?

Ann Perry knows first hand about murder. She was sent to prison for the murder of her friend’s mother. Could that be why her novels are so... vivid?

As a young girl, her best friend wanted her mother dead. The two girls were very close to the point of their being lesbians. However, in those day, homosexuality was kept firmly shut in the closet. Ann Perry's friend wanted her mother dead, and she convinced Ann to go along with her. The two girls plotted and carried out the murder.

Ann Perry and her friend, Pauline Parker, served their time in prison. Upon their release, they have never seen each other since. “Heavenly Creatures” starring Kate Winslet is a movie which depicts this true story. Princess Diana of Wales

Princess Diana  was born  1 July 19661, and she died in a car crash on 31 August 1997. She was married to Prince Charles of Wales from 29 July 1981 – 28 August 1996.

She was a photographer’s dream come true. Here photogenic face dominated the media from the moment she was engaged to Prince Charles. And she was clever how she used her celebrity.

Photographers would follow her every where while she comforted AIDS patients. Diana was the forerunner along with Elizabeth Taylor who broke barriers in accepting those who have AIDS with compassion. Because of their good works, there is a cure for AIDS.

Diana had no fear of controversy. Her last campaign before she died was to remove landmines in Angola. Photographs of her wearing a ballistic helmet and flak jacket were published world wide.

Children who have lost limbs spurred her interest in abolishing landmines. Two days before her death, she had met in Bosnia with the Landmine Survivor Network. It is believed that her influence resulted in the Ottawa Treaty which forbids the use of landmines .

To honor her good works, the United States Post Office has a commemorative stamp with the image of Princess Diana. It’s important to remember Diana. She was the shining light in this dark world.

You Are What You Think

When you think doom and gloom, that is exactly what comes to pass. However, when you have a positive attitude, your outcome will be positive. I found this story on http://www.orgcoach.net/newsletter/sept2004.html

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs ... who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

The race began... No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as: "Oh, WAY too difficult!!" "They will NEVER make it to the top." The tiny frogs began collapsing.

The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!" More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...

But ONE continued higher and higher and higher... This one wouldn't give up! He was the only one who reached the top! All of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it? A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal? It turned out that the winner was DEAF!!!!

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton is the heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune. It’s amazing how much Paris Hilton, who only has a high school education, has accomplished. She got her start on the reality show, “Simple Life.” She and her BFF at the time, Nicole Riche, made the show a hit.  The show is, well, meaningless, but it is entertaining. From the show Paris has patented her expression, “That’s hot.”

The show was a springboard for other endeavors, such as, socialite, model, media personality, singer, actress, fashion designer, and author. Paris has had her share of critics and scandals, and she has held her head high throughout it all. No matter what is said about her, every function where she attends, she smiles sweetly.

People know that is wrong to gossip, but it is an enjoyable past time. And there will always be chatter about celebrities. Fortunately, to get the latest gossip, people go to RadarChatter.com
